According to Xin Du’s industrial strategic positioning and developing goal on the Business Plan, the research direction and goal of research center will be based on the technological innovation to develop the health industry, which mainly includes the following three parts: first, the direction is the innovation of mushroom technology; second, the base is the technological innovation of mushroom production, which is to produce mushroom polysaccharides, plant proteins, cellulose, and other composite active materials by modern technology under the rule of natural growing and biological transforming; last, the goal is to produce dietary supplements to benefit human health. The detailed innovation contents should be as follow:

• Innovation of mushroom mycelium culturing technology. The quality of mycelium will determine the stability of composite active materials and the sustainability of industrial scale.

• Innovation of oriented culturing technology. Oriented culturing is the key to obtain specific and expected composite active materials.

• Innovation of bi-directional transforming technology. Different composite active materials will be secondary produced during the growth of mycelium, by using different nutrition mediums.

• Innovation of extracting technology. Sustained innovation should be made on the extracting, isolating, purifying, concentrating, and drying of active mushroom materials to prevent the damage or loss of bio-activity.

• Innovation of testing technology. Cooperation will be made with scientific research institutes to improve the testing of composite active materials, provide the standard of this kind of raw material, and establish the standard of technology and process.

• Innovation of functional assessing system. Cooperation will be made with scientific research institutes to conduct different functional assessment on different materials, and develop various dietary supplements products based on different functions.
